Hi Cardinal Family!
My name is Adrian Foster and I am the proud superintendent of the School District of Thorp! I live in the district with my wonderful wife, Brittany, and 2 beautiful daughters. After 7 years as Middle & High School Principal at Thorp, I am excited to take on new responsibilities this year and help our schools remain a positive and safe place where students of all backgrounds can flourish. I became a superintendent because I want to support our students and staff as they work toward meeting their incredible potential, and because I know that education opens doors of opportunity and is the ladder that helps people reach their dreams!
I was born and raised in Adams-Friendship, WI and, after working and living overseas for several years, graduated with a degree in Social Studies Composite Education from Brigham Young University. I also obtained my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership while working as a teacher, Instructional Coach, and Director of Talent in an urban school district in Houston before returning to Wisconsin and beginning my journey as a principal. My hobbies include traveling with my family, trying exotic food, and reading. I also enjoy trading fishing and hunting stories, camping, hiking, and being the Foster family chef! I'm fluent in Spanish and love to volunteer with my family at our church.
My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child has it within themselves to be a successful learner, and that teachers can make an extraordinary difference in the lives of students. It is an honor and privilege to serve the community of Thorp. I am invested in the work we do as a school district here, and hope that we can all continue to build relationships that benefit the students, the school, and community!
